Matthew is a prototype of the Cherokee-class naval fleet tug which is owned by the United States Navy and is constantly on loan to the Star Fleet. He is sometimes strict when carrying out Naval Duties but is kind and sensitive too. He acts like a brotherly figure to the Star Tugs and some Z-Stacks are apperently scared of him, along with Black Stack's Fleet and even some of the OGPU. He has a crush on Grace, as she does too, but neither of them know about the other. He is painted grey with US flags at the rear and up front.

Matthew is based on a Cherokee-class naval tug.
