The Gee Bee Model Z was a race plane built by the Granville Brothers Airplane Co. in 1931 The plane was the winner of 1931 Thompson Trophy at 236.24 mph. The only one built was destroyed on a speed course, December 1931, Detroit, MI Zantford Granville attributed the accident to a fuel cap coming loose, passing through the windscreen and striking the pilot. Beacuse of this, several replica's have been built, one appearing in the 1991 film The Rocketeer. A few Gee Bee Model Z's have appeared in some TUGS Fanon episode's.

Rick Star own's a Gee Bee Model Z that he bought in New York, The plane had a detachible camra fitted to it so it could take photo's of ship's and plane from the air(e.g. the Graf Zeppelin), the plane first appeared in Christmas and appeared in the following episode's aswell, mostley towing banner's in the sky to advertise special event's in Bigg City.
